The Tamil Nadu government has announced an agreement with Microsoft to improve integration of technology in teaching and learning.
Microsoft will adopt seven schools identified by the government and train teachers and students around building skills including critical thinking, creative coding and gaming, app development, robotics, and entrepreneurship.
It will offer its Innovative Educator Programme to educators in primary, secondary, vocational and tertiary education across the State. It will also train and provide a digital literacy certification to District Education Officers.
Microsoft will provide resources, free tools and software, and online professional development tailored for educators through its Partners in Learning Network, the company said in a press release.
