Business class in SpiceJet: Starting May 11, SpiceJet will introduce Business class services on select domestic routes. It will be second low-budget airline to offer the service after GoAir. SpiceJet will offer the service on its Boeing 737s operating to New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Bagdogra, and Srinagar. The low-budget carrier will begin the service following its acquisition of Jet Airways’ Boeing 737s and signing of code-share pact with Emirates.

Sixth phase of polling: Voting for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha 2019 elections will held on May 12 in 59 constituencies from seven states – Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Delhi. The prominent MPs in the fray for the sixth phase polling are Gautam Gambhir (Delhi), Vijender Singh (Delhi), Akhilesh Yadav (UP), Maneka Gandhi (UP), Jyotiraditya Scindia (MP), Digvijaya Singh (MP), Sadhvi Pragya (MP), Chautala grandsons (Haryana), and Bhupender Singh Hooda (Haryana).

IPL 2019 finals: The IPL 2019 finals will held on Sunday at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderbad. Mumbai Indians were the direct qualifiers for the finals after their 6-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings in the Qualifier Match 1. The second spot was grabbed by Chennai Super Kings after their decider match on May 10. Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions. The match will begin at 8 pm.

US Navy chief to visit India: US Navy Chief Admiral John Richardson will be visiting India on a 3-day tour starting May 12. During his visit, he will meet his Indian counterpart and other senior officials to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two navies. His visit comes amid Indian Navy participation in the first joint naval exercise in the South China Sea with the navies of US, the Philippines, and Japan.
