The Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) move to extend the timings for customer transactions through Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system will come into effect from June 1. The timings for customer transactions (initial cut-off) in RTGS has been extended from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, the RBI said in a notification on Tuesday.

NCP president Sharad Pawar will meet his party's leaders and lawmakers to take stock of the political situation in Maharashtra on June 1.  In the meeting, Pawar is likely to discuss the reasons for the party's debacle in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. The NCP, along with ally Congress, won only five of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra -- with the NCP bagging four seats while the Congress won one.  The ruling BJP-Shiv Sena alliance's won 41 seats in the state.

More than 1,000 senior officials of 290 airlines will attend the 75th annual general meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) from June 1 to June 3 in Seoul, South Korea. Representatives of airline suppliers, governments, strategic partners and international organisations will also attend the meet. The issues related to the 737 MAX aircraft could be discussed in the meet.

China will raise tariffs on US goods worth $60 billion on June 1 after the latest increase in American tariffs on its exports. This is the latest in a series of tit for tat tariff war between the world's largest economies. China will impose tariffs on a total of 5,140 US products from June 1.
