Continuing to offer sops to woo the electorate ahead of the Assembly polls, the Left Front Government in Tripura on Thursday announced pensions and other benefits for construction workers.
“All the registered construction workers in Tripura would get Rs 400 a month as pension when they attain 60 years of age,” State Labour and Urban Development Minister Manik Dey told reporters after a cabinet meeting.
“Women construction workers would get maternity benefit and all the construction labourers would also get financial aid from Rs 2,000 to Rs 30,000 for their medical treatment,” he said.
