A three-day “Truck, Trailer and Tyre Expo” is scheduled between August 6 and 9 at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore.
The expo aims to promote the market for trucks, trailers and tyres, which offers huge business potential.
Media Day Marketing, Bengaluru is organising the event with support from 25 associated associations and the Ministry of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Government of India.
Briefing reporters, Rambhau Soundalkar, Director, Media Day Marketing, claimed that this would be the first of its kind expo in the truck, trailer, tyre, tipper, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and allied industry space in the country.
“The Indian commercial vehicles industry is witnessing sizeable investments by OEMs towards upgrading their product portfolio, introducing new models and expanding manufacturing capacities. To highlight this and much more, this expo has been planned. Lorry owners and other stakeholders will get an insight of the developments happening in this space, as the utility value of such vehicles is not understood fully,” Soundalkar said.
Around 80 participants are said to have confirmed stall bookings. The organisers are expecting another 35-40 participants to follow suit.
Global technology development companies have also evinced interest in showcasing their product, he said.
