Salman Khan-starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has earned ₹40.35 crore on the opening day at the domestic box office from its Hindi version alone. The movie, which has been released across 5,300 screens worldwide, was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. A Rajshri and Fox Star Studios co-production, the movie is expected to stay strong over the holiday weekend, according to multiplex players. The movie marks the comeback of Salman Khan-Sooraj Barjataya duo after more than a decade.
