At a time when people consider having their wards in private schools and English medium stream as status symbol, Erode District Collector Mr R. Anandhakumar has set an example by getting his daughter admitted to the Tamil stream at the Panchayat Union Primary School near here.
She was admitted to the second standard in the Erode Panchayat Union Primary School at Kumilankuttai on Monday.
Sources said the Collector also wanted school authorities to treat her like any other student and allow her to mingle with other students.
