Oracle has won the Bangalore round of ‘Cerebration’ — the Business Line Corporate quiz.
Oracle team represented by Yagnyeshwaran Hariharan and Mitesh Agarwal, after collecting few negative points, came back with vengeance in the buzzer round to finish on top.
ING Vysya Bank, represented by Prasad Shetty and Samrat Mukherjee, lost to Oracle by just one point.
The management students from IIM-Bangalore took on the corporate biggies and came third.
Regional winners
The Bangalore regional winners - Oracle, will now face Chennai regional winner - TCS, Coimbatore regional winner - TCS, the Hyderabad regional winner - Vizag Steel and Delhi winner- Genpact at the national finals to be held in Mumbai on January 26.

Earlier in the day, about 50 teams took part in the preliminary written round in Bangalore, of which six teams - Oracle, IIM-B, ING Vysya, HSBC, Life is Outside and Attra Infotech qualified.
Lloyd Saldanha conducted the quiz which saw some heart breaking moments, some laughter and high speed.
D.M. Mujumdar, Deputy General Manager, Corporation Bank, gave away prizes to top winning teams in the Bangalore regional round.
The title sponsor for the ‘Cerebration - The Business Line Corporate Quiz’ is Corporation Bank and associate sponsors are NCDEX and SAIL.
ITC Windsor, Bangalore, was the hospitality partners for the event.
