It is festive time for film lovers beginning tomorrow for a week. On the menu for them are about 250 films, long and short ones, made by the best of the directors across the globe will be screened in Hyderabad.

The arrangements for the event, however, do not match the occasion that comes every two years. Passes for the event are still being printed and those who are going to collect them at the camp office of CFSI (Children’s Film Society of India) here are being asked to come later.

The festival window on CFSI website is yet to display the schedule and the details of the theatres that screen the movies.

The festival will formally be opened at Shilpakala Vedika auditorium at in Madhapur on Saturday evening.

With the main venue for the 19th being the Prasad’s Imax on the Necklace Road, the films will be screened in several other theatres in the twin cities. As many as 18 awards in four categories of Little Directors, International Animation, International Live Action and Asian Panorama would be awarded on the last day.

Satish Kaushik (India), Kai S. Pieck (Germany), Firdoze Bulbulia (South Africa), Joe Chang (China) and Allani Sreedhar (India) are among the jury that would pick the winners of Golden Elephant trophies.

The festival will also screen films in Non-Competition Sections, including Children's World that will include some of the best movies made across the world.
