The Kerala Tourism Minister, Mohammed Riyas, has inaugurated the KAVA Eco Camp and Caravan Park at Manthuruthy near Malampuzha in Palakkad. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the project’s objective is to transform Kerala into a much-sought-after wedding destination centre and also offer a platform for launching seaplanes in Malampuzha.

The park has spaces for parking, six large caravans, six camper vans, and electric charging points for cars and scooters. A 24-hour coffee shop is also available, alongside ten rooms for tourists. The waste from the caravan toilets would be pumped out and treated through the park’s sewage treatment plant. It also has a park that provides a range of facilities, including drinking water, laundry services, a dormitory for drivers, a restaurant, and a swimming pool, according to a press release. 

Tourists can enjoy cycle and jeep safaris, exploring the picturesque surroundings of Malampuzha. Guests can interact with local communities, share meals, visit nearby cottage industries, and purchase local products.

Sajeev Kurup, Managing Director of Ayurvedamana and owner of the KAVA Eco Camp and Caravan Park, said the initiative is expected to revitalize the state’s tourism sector and create opportunities for the local community.
