Shopping tops the list of expenditures even ahead of accommodation, according to a survey conducted recently by Tourism Malaysia. Tourist expenditure on shopping took the top spot from accommodation as travel component in the first quarter of 2015, with an increase of 11 per cent to RM 4.9 billion against the same period last year, according to a press release from Tourism Malaysia. Noor Azman Samsudin, Director-Tourism Malaysia, Chennai, said in the release, “Malaysia has always provided superior quality shopping experience to tourists from all over the world.” We are glad to tie-up with Air Asia to offer special discounts. With more than 350 shopping malls shopping is a lucrative component of Malaysia tourism.
