Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has launched the website of Kerala State Cooperative Tourism Federation (Tourfed) here.
Chandy said he hoped that Tourfed’s activities would help not just the overall development of the state but also give a push to its tourism sector.
Cooperation Minister C. N. Balakrishnan, who presided over the launch ceremony, said that setting up of Tourfed signalled a major intervention that his department planned in the tourism sector.
Tourfed is a government-owned agency to provide tourism related services such as tour, travel operations, sightseeing trips and also tourism product promotions, destinations marketing, marketing for tourism investments and ventures. – Our Bureau
