US Vice-President, Joe Biden, will travel to Japan, China and South Korea in the first week of December, which is considered as part of US pivot to Asia.
“In Tokyo, he will meet with key leaders to discuss a broad range of issues with our close ally,” the White House said.
The White House added that they plan to focus on progress towards a high standard Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, seek further momentum on key alliance goals, and discuss a range of regional and global challenges.
Biden will meet with key leaders in Beijing to consult on global and regional issues of mutual interest, the White House said.
Finally, he would be meeting key leaders in Seoul to address bilateral, regional and global challenges, including in particular the close cooperation and coordination to address security threats.
The exact dates of the trip are yet to be announced. Early this summer, Biden had travelled to India.
