Global consulting firm Boston Consulting Group has emerged as the top recruiter across four top IIMs – IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta and Lucknow, making 44 offers in the four campuses.
“We have recruited a total of 55 management students this year out of which 44 are from IIM A, B, C and L,” said Sachin Nandgaonkar, Partner & Director at BCG- India.
“Students were offered entry-level management consulting roles essentially such as Senior Associate with a starting pay-scale of ₹20-25 lakh yearly,” said Nandgaonkar. “The roles offered are to a diverse group of students who have exceptional academic and extracurricular records along with some kind of leadership experience.” Thirty-five of the offers were pre-placement offers, offers made before the final placements commenced. Other business schools from which BCG hires include ISB, XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS, MDI, NMIMS Mumbai, SPJIMR Mumbai, and IIM Indore. The remaining 11 offers were made to students from some of these B-schools.
