In an effort to promote quality research and mobilise funds the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (UAS-D) is exploring international collaborations with foreign organisations and Universities.
As a step in that direction, UAS-D has submitted a letter of intent to the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), Canberra, Australia.
The letter of intent was submitted to Dr Ejaz Qureshi, the Research Programme Manager of the Agricultural Development Programme for South Asia and the Pacific (ACIAR).
According to Dr Rajendra Poddar, Head, Project Planning and Monitoring Cell at UAS-D, who submitted the letter of intent, the proposal is for formal collaboration in natural resources management, crop improvement and agri business development.
