Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) New Zealand, a New Zealand Government funded Institute of Technology, announced the launch of a range of post graduate diploma and masters degree programmes in India.

A press release said the new degrees in Applied Management and Information Technology are meant to help students become internationally employable.

Courses

The Master of Applied Management is a one-and-half year programme designed to produce graduates who can understand, make decisions and solve complex applied management problems in the workplace. There are eight areas of professional competence (money, markets, people, planning, technology, innovation, globalisation and sustainability) that develop innovative business professionals who can function effectively in the global economy. The programme also allows a student to complete the first year and gain a post graduate diploma in applied management.

The Master of Information Technology programme focuses on both in-depth theoretical knowledge of the IT environment and professional practice in which the knowledge and understanding are applied. The programme also allows a student to complete the first year and gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.

“EIT has developed a range of programmes for both the domestic and the international markets. We believe that the Applied Management Programmes will help to develop well-rounded, competent and innovative business professionals who can function effectively in the global economy and contribute effectively on a managerial level,” said Frina Albertyn, Head of the Business school, in the release.

Text book allowance

There is also a special NZ$500 textbook allowance for all students who apply for these Masters and Post Graduate programmes in 2015. This provision is an incentive for students to apply for diverse fields of post graduate study at EIT, according to Helen Kemp, International Manager for EIT.
