After meddling in sweat and dirt for two days the team from IIM-Ahmedabad is finally taking the champions crown home. No, it’s not a case study or a B-plan contest we are talking about but the annual inter-IIM sports meet, Sangharsh, that concluded at the IIM-Bangalore campus on Sunday.
The two-day event witnessed participation from students from IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Calcutta and IIM-Lucknow. IIM-A won gold medals in basketball, football, tennis, table tennis, throwball, chess and swimming, including silvers in women’s swimming, women’s basketball, men’s pool and men’s volleyball. Ashish Nanda, IIM-A’s Director, had instituted a task force to examine the participation of students in sports and to promote interest and engagement in sports in the entire IIM-A community, says a press release.
