Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) is going to organise its first International Communication Management Conference (ICMC 2014) between February 12 and 14, 2014 on its campus.
The theme of the conference this year is ‘Managing health communication’, and the event will bring together healthcare providers, communication and marketing experts, policy-makers and activists all under one roof.
institutions According to MICA, the conference has already attracted the attention of several Indian and international institutions including the University of Texas, National Accreditation Board of Hospitals and Healthcare Providers, Indian Institute of Health Management Research, and Michigan State University.
Several renowned non-governmental organisations such as NACO, Unicef and PHFI (Public Health Foundation of India) will also present papers on topics relevant to healthcare communications.
topics Various topics likely to be discussed during the conference include ‘Health Policy: People, Practice and Perspectives’, ‘Health Behavior and Health Education’, and ‘Communicate to Connect: Media Construction and Emerging Partners of Health Communication’.
The Summit will feature plenary sessions, paper presentations and panel discussions.
