Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is all set to kick start its technical festival – APOGEE 2015. The techfest has become one of the most popular campus-fests in the country since its inception in 1983, and now holds a 9001:2008 ISO certification. 

The 32nd edition of APOGEE will be declared open with an inauguration on the March 25. The festival will have various projects and paper presentations which will experience participation of over five hundred science and engineering students from all over the country, with around two fifty projects in the previous edition. The other categories include automation, communication and network systems, design appliances and economic modelling and finance. Paper presentation will encompass the pure sciences.

A large number of workshops on robotics, automobile engines, quadcopter, web development, cloud computing, animation, ethical hacking and financial markets will also be organised. 

 

To add a fun dimension to the techfest, a number of demonstrations of interesting phenomena involving liquid Nitrogen, cymatics, Do Re Mi stairs and virtual air hockey are being set up. Roy Zaltsman, renowned psychological entertainer will also perform his telekinesis, precognition and mentalism voodoo during the event. 

Other fun events include an adventure zone, treasure hunts, literary events and games, well thought out and organised by the innumerable functional clubs on the BITS Pilani campus.
