A team from IIM Shillong has grabbed the first spot in the regional round of the ‘Tata Crucible Business Quiz’ recently held at IIT Guwahati’s campus. The winning team of two: Debarun Majumdar and K. S. Rahul Gupta, competed against 200 teams. A team from Tezpur University won the second position while the third and fourth positions were secured by teams from IIM Shillong as well. The winners took home a prize of ₹1 lakh and will now represent the institute in the zonal finals of the quiz.
Started in 2004, the ‘Tata Crucible Business Quiz’ is a team-based contest and is held in three parts. Two back-to-back tracks — separately held for Tata’s corporates and non-Tata corporates, followed by the national finals. The third track is held for campus students each year which is also followed by a national final.
