Qatar Airways has partnered with the United States India Educational Foundation (USIEF) to offer pre-departure orientation for students applying to the US universities for further education. The airline will be part of the orientation sessions organised in seven key cities by USIEF.

Over 2,000 students are expected to attend the session and will get the opportunity to interact with USIEF staff and receive complete information about the education system and culture in the US.

“As an airline, we have always supported students in more ways than one by offering special fares with additional baggage allowances for students," said Henry Moses, Country Manager India, Qatar Airways in a press statement. "Associating with USIEF is an exceptional opportunity, as Qatar Airways has seen a remarkable response from India on its rapidly expanding USA route network."

Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in 17 years of its operation. The national carrier of Qatar has a fleet of 134 aircraft to 143 business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.

Over the next few months, the network will grow further with new routes to Dallas/Fort Worth, USA (July 1, 2014) and Djibouti (July 27, 2014).

The airline reaches to 12 cities in India, taking the overall frequency to 95 passenger flights and 15 freighter services each week.
