One of India’s premier business schools, XLRI Jamshedpur, is set to hold its 59th annual convocation on March 21. The event will be held at the Tata Auditorium, XLRI campus.
A total of 526 XLRI students will receive their graduating certificates and medals including 300 students of Post Graduate Programmes in Management - BM and HRM; 112 students of 2014 batch of 15-months PGDM (General Management) Programme; 3 students of Fellow Program in Management from Jamshedpur Campus; 63 students of 2015 batch of PGDM-BM Programme (Part Time) and 23 students of 2015 batch of Executive PGP course from Dubai campus on the day.
This year, the first batch of the Global MBA Programme launched by XLRI in partnership with Weatherhead School of Management, USA and School of Economics & Management of Tongji University Shanghai, China will also receive their graduating certificates on completion of their two-year course. Twenty Indian students of the 2015 batch of the GMBA Programme will be awarded the certificates and medals from their home school - XLRI and a joint certification from the 3-schools’ consortium at the convocation.
The B-school will also confer the prestigious Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal for Industrial and Social Peace to Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman & CEO of TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited). She will also deliver the convocation address to the graduating students at the event. In January last year, Srinivasan was honoured with the prestigious ‘Padma Shri’ award for her contribution to trade and industry.
