Regarding “Rising commodity prices hurting economy: Pranab” ( Business Line , September 24), I have a point to make. India gets infinite free solar energy and rain water. Open spaces and roofs in our living spaces provide space to grow vegetables, free of cost. When energy, water and food are available right at the consumption point, we are responsible for inflation, which is aided by poor governance.
The common man, especially BPL people, can combat inflation by using free energy, water and food.

Clarification
The article “MNCs can't wish unions away”
(Business Line, September 22) quotes the following information:
“Bosch, the Germany MNC, successfully resisted three attempts of the workers to form a trade union, removing workers alleged to be indulging in union activities. Eventually, workers formed an internal union, namely Bosch Chassis Systems Kamgar Sanghatana”.
The relevant portion of the news item pertaining to our company is totally incorrect.
The “Bosch Chassis Systems Kamgar Sanghatana” (mentioned in the article) is in existence at our Chakan plant. We have never resisted formation of Union at any stage. Formation of unions at all our plants was always accepted by the management.
