The fourth NAR-India, the national convention of the National Association of Realtors, is to be held in Mumbai on June 23 and 24, according to a press release from the Association. The convention, being organised on the theme of empowering realtors and elevating real-estate brokerage to global standards, will bring together over 1,000 delegates from a range of fields related to real estate including lawyers, architects, investors, venture capitalists and financial institutions, said the press release. The Indian real-estate industry is on the upswing, and offers challenges and opportunities for home seekers, builders and other stakeholders in the industry.

Greenn Athens, a luxury villa project

The Chennai-based Green Tree Homes and Ventures has launched Greenn Athens, a luxury residential project close to the Old Mahabalipuram Road. The project will offer 40 villas of about 4,000-5,000 sq. ft each spread over three acres. Each unit will have a swimming pool and a private elevator, according to a press release from the company. As its name suggests, Greenn Athens will have a “Greco-Mediterranean architecture in neo-classical styles.” Greenn Athens focuses on design, quality and top-class facilities with teak-wood doors and windows, imported marble skirting in living rooms, rustic tiles on the balconies, laminated wooden flooring in bedrooms, granite, ceramic tiles and the best-in-class kitchen and toilet fittings. Green Tree Homes and Ventures is promoted by a group of architects and designers with two decades of experience in real estate.

H&R Johnson's large format offering

H&R Johnson has launched Marbonite Slabs, targeting the large-format vitrified-products market.

Over the next few years, demand for large-format and coloured Marbonite products is expected to grow, as consumers seek cleaner floors with less joints, according to a press release from the tile manufacturer. Consumer preference is shifting towards super-premium products with high functional attributes.

Marbonite Slabs will be priced at about Rs 155-190 a sq. ft.
