This way, your income details are always up-to-date. On the payments side, billing details for regular transactions, such as credit card and loan repayments, can be entered. You can also enter investments details, which are also linked to your accounts. The investment section is well-detailed, with separate sections for gold, real estate and mutual funds.

As with most financial planning apps, comprehensive reports on incomes and expenses are generated. But it is in its ability to conduct transactions that MyUniverse is better than many other management tools. Payment of bills and investment decisions, such as mutual fund purchases, can be done from your MyUniverse account. These investments are also automatically updated.

But as they say, there is no free lunch. To access all the features, you need to fork out some money. Though the basic plan is free, it has limits to adding billers for payments and linking accounts for income and investments. The price of advanced plans, which give you the add-on features, is about ₹599 a year for the premium plan, and ranges from ₹799-₹4,999 (depending on the period of subscription) for the premium-plus plan.
