Mahindra launches XUV500 Sportz

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced a limited edition ‘XUV500 Sportz’ variant built on its existing W8 model. Priced at ₹13.94 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai), the ‘XUV500 Sportz’ comes packed with premium features and plush interiors.

New Features

A company statement said that the exclusive features of the ‘XUV500 Sportz’ include stylish Sportz decals, unique alloy wheels with signature red inserts, a convenient rear-view camera, sporty leather-fabric seats, fog lamps and door handles with red accents, stylised roof rails in red and a special ‘Sportz’ badging.

Speaking about the launch of the XUV500 Sportz, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra has said, “This new offering of ‘XUV500 Sportz’ aligns with our leadership position in Indian motor sports and rallying and reflects our sporty DNA very well.

We believe that it will create a new benchmark in exclusivity to further enhance the XUV500’s appeal amongst customers.”

The XUV500 Sportz is based on the W8 model of the XUV500 which sports a 140 bhp (103Kw) mHawk engine with 330 Nm torque and a 6-speed transmission. The infotainment system consists of a 6-inch touch-screen with GPS, DVD, CD, Mp3, FM, USB and iPod connectivity. The car also packs in a Driver Information System, Micro Hybrid technology, fully automatic temperature control, static-bending projector headlamps with LED parking lights, voice commands, cruise and audio controls on steering wheel.

You also get to use smart rain and light sensors along with intellipark, a reverse parking assist system.
