BMW has launched an updated version of its 3 Series Gran Turismo Sport Line in India. The 320d variant in the GT line is powered by the 2-litre diesel engine and will be manufactured in Chennai.

The new line of cars features the BMW Driving Experience Control switch, which enables the driver to choose between different driving modes to suit the driving conditions. This feature will allow the driver to configure the car to prioritize either power or fuel consumption or even attempt to achieve a balance between the two.

In keeping with the luxury positioning of the line, the car comes with wood interiors with chrome accents, complemented by leather with red highlights on the steering wheel. The driver and front passenger seats are upholstered with ‘sensatec’ leather that will, according to BMW, offer firm support while negotiating challenging bends. The exteriors accentuate the sporty feel of the line, with nine moulded kidney grille slats featured prominently in black and chrome up front.

The front apron has air inlets with black horizontal bars designed to emphasize the wheel housings. BMW’s characteristic attention to detail is exemplified by the black chrome on the exhaust pipe and air breathers on the sides.

The car will bear the distinctive ‘BMW Sport’ tag on the doors and the key comes with a decorative red strip that makes it stand out.
