Answering the call of enthusiasts, luxury two-wheeler manufacturer Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company, has made the official price announcement for the anxiously awaited Flat Tracker for the streets, Indian FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica in India. The company has also started accepting bookings. To pre-book this street and racing machine, customers can pay a booking amount of ₹2 lakh at Indian Motorcycle dealerships across the country. The Indian FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica have been priced at ₹14.99 lakh and ₹15.49 lakh respectively (both ex-showroom).

The Indian brand is more famous for laid-back, cruiser-style bikes like the Scout and Bobber.

It’s latest bikes are said to have been inspired by the Championship-Winning FTR 750 race bike. The new FTR series is engineered with the latest technology for reliable performance, says a statement from the company. Sporting a powerful new liquid-cooled 1,203 cc V-twin engine and generating 120 hp, the FTR series is fast, agile and thrilling. The Indian FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica features a sporty, upright riding position and nimble handling, made for riders who command control on the road. The FTR 1200 S hosts premium features including Bosch stability control with a six-axis inertial sensor and selectable riding modes, all controlled by a bright 4.3-inch colour touchscreen dash.

The official press release mentions that booking starts now and delivery of the Indian FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica will begin from April 2019 onwards.
