Next month Hyundai will join the list of car makers who have redesigned their existing hatches into what can obliquely be called crossovers. What you see here are the renderings of the new i20 Active – what Hyundai calls is a SUV looking car.
Hyundai Motor India revealed the design renderings of the new offering, which is due to make an official Global debut in the Indian market next month. The new model has been designed at Hyundai Motor’s European Design Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany. The i20 Active adopts a ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language – with a sportier and bolder look. The rendering of the ‘i20 Active’, seems to convey strong SUV character and what could potentially be an appearance that gives it unique road presence.
Let us hope that the car will deliver more than just a minor variation to the design of the i20 and will also include performance enhancements in keeping with the projected image of being a crossover.
