German car maker Volkswagen has announced that it will be commencing bookings for the Volkswagen GTI. The GTI is Volkswagen’s iconic powerful offeringand will be available in a limited edition at an ex-showroom price of ₹25.99 lakh (Delhi).
The car packs a powerful 1.8L four-cylinder engine under the hood, which the company claims will take drivers to 100 kmph from zero in a mere 7.2 seconds. The car is also claimed to clock a top-speed of 233 kmph. The gearbox on this one is an automatic seven-speed DSG.
The exterior of the car mirrors its sporty and racy feel, with dual chrome exhaust pipes, LED headlamps with red inserts, and the GTI honeycombed grill.
Bookings are available in select Volkswagen showrooms across the country.
