Bengaluru-headquartered education technology venture Bjyu’s has bought US-based Osmo for nearly ₹850 crore ($120 million). Osmo provides a playful learning system, using physical toys in the digital world through augmented reality and its proprietary reflective artificial intelligence.
The acquisition will bolster Byju’s international plans and give it the capability to offer customised, engaging and fun-learning solution for younger kids. Byju’s, one of India’s Unicorns, recently raised $540 million from Naspers and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
