Legal tech start-up LawRato has raised an undisclosed amount in pre-Series A funding from Indian Angel Network. The company acts as a one-stop destination for those seeking legal advice and those looking to engage a lawyer. LawRato has over 2,200 lawyer profiles in 200 cities. The company will use the money to develop the platform, expand operations in other geographies and broaden audience base offering low-cost legal services required in everyday life, such as will drafting, property verification, promissory note and power of attorney.
Knowlarity raises $20 million
Knowlarity, a leading cloud communications platform in emerging markets across Asia, has raised $20 million in a Series C round. Dubai-based private equity firm Delta Partners led the latest round. Existing investors Sequoia India and Mayfield participated in this round, which also saw a small debt-based investment from Blacksoil and Trifecta Capital. With this, Knowlarity has raised $41 million. Knowlarity will use the money to expand to other international markets, make acquisitions and invest in advanced technology products for its customers.
Helpshift in Series B funding
Helpshift, a mobile-based CRM solution provider, has raised a Series B round of funds, with Cisco Investments participating in the fresh round. Cisco follows earlier investors such as Intel Capital, Microsoft Ventures and Salesforce Ventures. Helpshift and Cisco will also explore opportunities to integrate Helpshift’s in-app customer support solutions with Cisco’s contact centre solutions.
Angel funding for Nodd
Nodd, an app-based networking platform that helps individuals discover and meet like-minded people, has raised ₹1 crore from a clutch of angel investors. The money will be used to scale up operations and expand across Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai, and for building the team and technology.
Vymo gets $5 m from Sequoia
Vymo, a predictive sales analytics venture, has raised $5 million in Series A from Sequoia India. It will use the money for R&D and to expand to international markets. Vymo has over 25 customers, including HDFC, SBI Life and Axa. It has been bootstrapped to date. Our Bureau
