Sales and marketing solutions platform Benddit has raised about ₹1.73 crore ($250,000) in seed funding from industry veterans. The money will be used to grow the team and improve machine learning capabilities.

NEEV invests in Punjab Renewable

NEEV Fund, backed by SBICAP and the UK Government’s Department for International Development, has invested about ₹34 crore ($5 million) in Punjab Renewable Energy Systems Pvt Ltd. The company will use the money to expand the business in the area of biomass supply chain.

The Wedding Brigade raises ₹6.9 crore in Pre-Series A funding

The Wedding Brigade, a content-to-commerce portal, has raised about ₹6.9 crore ($1 million) in a pre-Series A extension round led by Japan-based AET Fund and Blume Ventures. The money will be used to scale the portal’s latest business of creating and operating wedding banquet spaces and to invest in the existing content and e-commerce businesses.

Vivriti Capital raises ₹110 cr from Creation Investments

Vivriti Capital, which runs a leading technology-enabled marketplace for institutional and enterprise debt, has raised ₹110 crore from existing investor Creation Investments. Vivriti will use the money to grow its balance sheet and to strengthen its marketplace platform.

Travel tech start-up Guid d oo raises funding

Guiddoo, a travel technology start-up, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from SOSV, a venture capital firm based in New Jersey, and Artesian China Fund to build its products and offerings for China. Guiddoo now offers its services across 15 international destinations and works with more than 4,000 travel agents in India. It had raised ₹1.9 crore in 2017 and ₹ 6 crore in December 2018.

Acko General Insurance raises ₹450 cr in Series C round

Acko General Insurance, an online insurance provider, has raised about ₹450 crore ($65 million) in a Series C round from existing and new investors. Binny Bansal, co-founder, Flipkart, has put in about ₹173 crore ($25 million). The other new investors are RPS Ventures and Intact Ventures Inc. Existing investors that participated in this round are Amazon, Accel, SAIF Partners and TechPro Ventures. Acko will use the money to grow the business.

Lead Angels, Y-Combinator and others invest in HelloVerify

HelloVerify India has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Lead Angels network and leading Silicon Valley investors such as Y-Combinator, Data Collective and Venture Souq. HelloVerify is an API background screening platform. It will use the funds to accelerate and expand its technology by integrating and increasing the role of artificial intelligence in its background check technology.

Matrix Partners India leads follow-on investment in &Me

Bengaluru-based food and beverage brand &Me, which is focussed on women’s daily health and wellness, has raised an undisclosed amount in follow-on investment led by existing investor Matrix Partners India and participation from consumer VC fund Sauce.vc. The company will use the money to expand the team, scale operations nationally and widen its product offering.

GVFL invests in EroNkan Technologies
