My favourite airport : Hong Kong would have to be one of my favourite airports, with Changi being a close second.

What I like about it: What impresses me the most about HK airport is the openness of the space, the use of natural lighting, which has been softened by the intelligent use of reflectors and the curved high glass ceiling. Apart from that, there are great food options and good connectivity within the airport and I have found that the facilities work all the time.

I love how you get a good view of the spectacular scenery surrounding Chek Lap Kok. If I had a long layover, I would choose Hong Kong airport simply because of the excellent lounges, the business amenities, the user friendliness and the general vibrancy of the whole space. I think they really mapped out the customer journey in detail and thought through the passenger experience. The traffic is expertly managed and travelling through the airport is a seamless experience. Changi airport tops my list as well. The terminals are easily accessible, the lounges well-placed and the services well-maintained. The food options are also great. However, my outlook towards Changi is probably biased because I was based out of Singapore in an earlier stint and so my familiarity with the space places me in a far more comfortable position than any other airport.

What could be improved: While I do like the general layout of Changi airport, the one thing that I wish Changi had is more natural lighting, which lends a sense of vastness.

Other airports I like: The Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi is very impressive and at par with global standards.
