My favourite airport : Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad
What I like about it : The airport, which opened over 10 years back, set a benchmark for airport/aerotropolis development in India. I remember I used to reside in the US in those days and was very impressed to see world-class infrastructure in India, on a visit to Hyderabad.
The landscaping of the area around the airport is particularly admirable and I used to wonder why we couldn’t replicate that across the country. I was so taken up with the overall management of the airport that we set up P&W’s global training centre in the area. Ten years later, it’s still a pleasure going back to the airport.
What could be improved : Better connectivity between the terminal and other facilities that have emerged in the vicinity.
Other airports I like : Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi
