Thought Leaders, a corporate education company, announced its India foray through events in New Delhi and Mumbai.
The New Manager listened in to founder Matt Church, whose profile says he was recognised recently by the international speaking community as one of the 25 most influential people in the speaking profession.
A snippet on leadership: “If you are addressing people in a room, and if those people are afraid when you leave that room, that's not leadership. Role of leadership is to increase confidence, get rid of confusion and mobilise people in pursuit of a better future. When someone is afraid, the quality of thinking goes to a primitive part of the brain, where survival instincts take over. That's not the best thing for productivity — the leader's job is to get them going.”
