The “Family Planning Summit” slated to be held in London on July 11 marks the five-year anniversary of the inaugural London Summit. Co-hosted by the UK Government, UN Population Fund and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in partnership with the FP2020 Secretariat, the event aims to boost progress on what is regarded as the best investment governments can make: rights-based family planning programmes. India is expected to have a critical role here given its population and commitments on family planning.
