The five things Harkirat Singh,MD, Woodland Worldwide does to keep fit:

1. Being fit is an important element of my daily ritual. My day starts at 6 am, working out with my personal trainer in the gym. Since my business involves extensive travel, there is no fixed exercise routine, but I make sure to extract some time out for physical exercise whereever I may be. I strongly believe that fitness gives you more energy and inspires you to work better.

2. I appreciate being outdoors to explore the unexplored which fills my day with endorphins and clarity. I like going for treks on the weekends and if it is a long day at work, an evening stroll in the park takes the stress off and helps me get a good night’s sleep.

3.  I do play golf, but not as often as I may want to. It’s good time spent with nature. And while it is enjoyable playing with friends, solo games and being alone with your thoughts helps refine focus.

4.  Food is a stress buster as you are relaxed when you enjoy good food. I always have the local cuisine in a place I travel to as it gives you a slice of their life and culture.

5.  I enjoy light, frequent meals, rather than heavy ones that can make you lethargic.
