1. Fitness becomes a professional choice when you are travelling trans-Atlantic about 20 days a month. It becomes part of daily life, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator; even the small things matter.
I try not to eat after 7 pm. While travelling if I am in a different time zone, I try to maintain that timing by having something to drink.
At work, the effort is to eat right. Less sugar, more green tea. And, there are many options available that help watch the calories. The other trick is to have multiple fruits a day — at least five colours, as each gives you a different property, vitamin, etc. The fruit should be seasonal. Even with food, the focus is to have fresh foods with local ingredients.
I do go to a gym about four times a week and mix it up with running, cycling, etc., to keep it from being boring. In fact, I love cycling.
De-stressing is through breaks to the mountains every couple of weeks. On “work-life” balance… I don’t separate the two, because if you are passionate about it, you would enjoy it anyway. For instance, I write even on a break.
