My day starts at 7 am with two litres of water. A good sleep of about eight hours deprives the body of water and slows down the metabolism. Hydrating in the morning helps me recharge, refresh and energise. Besides, I keep track of my water intake through the day, even at work. Drinking water helps ush out toxins from the body and boosts the immune system.
I ensure an hour at the gym as it helps rejuvenate my muscles and the endorphin boost keeps me feeling great all day. Between juggling meetings, I stay active by taking the stairs instead of the elevator when I go for meetings, or not sitting for long hours as it causes health issues in the long run. When confined to the office, I try to not to sit for more than 15minutes at a stretch, opting to stand or pace around while working.
When home early, I try to run for at least 30 minutes before dinner. This helps clear my mind and sleep soundly.
My diet depends on the day. Gym requires a high-protein diet; on days that I run, there is a high intake of carbs. However, all diets largely are home-cooked to control the oil and nutrient intake.
Since the mind also needs time I take short-haul vacations every six months, when I try to stay completely disconnected from my phone.
