MY FIVE - Balance is important

1. Staying fit improves all aspects of life, adding to mental balance and physical health, besides preventing illnesses. Over a period of time I have experienced that besides keeping me energetic, regular exercising also helps in enhancing work productivity by sharpening focus. Being active and fit enables me to stay alert and concentrate on my business.

2. I am a trekking enthusiast and come from a long line of mountain trekkers and guides. Going on treks and off-the-beaten-track gives me a wider sense of being that helps put problems in perspective, the mountain air proving an inspiration for work.

3. Regularly practicing yoga and relaxation techniques helps connect to whatever I do, especially in my work. My most creative ideas come while travelling and letting my conscious focus expand.

4. In my view, unplugging and digital detox is important, so playing sports like cricket and tennis refreshes and clears my mind.

5. Stepping out of the work routine helps me better understand not only my work but my employees and team. Finding the time regularly to retreat from the outer world for a few minutes every day cleanses my mind and improves creativity and interpersonal interaction.
