1. “I am fit because I will work out today.” This is my fitness mantra, and it's what I tell myself every morning. What you have done until yesterday is past and the future is just intent. If you are serious about fitness, you have to work out today! This keeps me honest, disciplined and regular at the gym.
2.I adhere to a mix of weight training, cardio and flexibility, important for overall fitness. On an average, my workout comprises 75 percent weight training and 25 percent cardio, combined with two sessions of Yoga, twice a week.
3.Yoga started about six months ago, it balances my work out by providing flexibility to the muscles that get rigid during weight training. Yoga also brings inner benefits of breathing and calming.
4.My day begins at 6 am, I get seven hours of sleep. Getting a good night's sleep is important for staying fit. My diet includes a protein shake and vegetable juice in the morning, and for breakfast I have a shot of coconut milk with five types of dried seeds. I always carry three types of fruit with me for the day.
5. My three mantras in life are: smart working, don’t work late into the night and on weekends, stay away from the laptop and give the mind a break.
