A lot of people prefer online shopping, these days. Websites such as Flipkart and Amazon are making shopping easier, but when it comes to buying clothes online, it can get a bit confusing. Most of us are not sure if the colour, size or design of the clothes will suit us as we cannot try them on.
For those who love online shopping but are not convinced because of the above reasons, the Karbonn Aura Note 2 may help. The Aura Note 2 is on the line of Karbonn’s Fashion Eye range of phones and is focused on using AI to satisfy its users’ fashion needs. The company says that it’s the first smartphone with ‘Artificial Intelligence’ for online shopping. The budget smartphone comes preloaded with the Fashion Eye app.
You can use the app to find matching products on e-commerce websites. The app uses AI to detect the colour and designs from clothes in the picture selected by the user and finds matching products available across various e-commerce platforms. The app is able to identify the colour and pattern of clothes using AI. We tried a few and found it quiet interesting; especially daily clothing. The app also offers video options for selecting clothes.
When it comes to specifications and performance, Karbonn is one of the first to run Android 7.0 under the sub-₹8,000 segment. The Aura Note 2 has a plastic body and metal chassis and sports a 5.5-inch HD display. The phone is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core processor and has 2 GB of RAM and houses 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable to 32 GB. The phone is pretty fast and handles tasks well. However, it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor.
The phone sports a 2,900 mAh removable battery, which is very disappointing. The battery lasts barely a day and while travelling, I had to put it in flight mode to save energy. It also takes a lot of time to charge.
Aura Note 2 features a 13 MP rear camera that is an average performer. The same applies for its 5 MP front camera. The cameras come with the usual features that budget phones possess.
If you are a shopaholic and want a budget phone, then go for it. Otherwise, for the same price, there are other options available in the market.
Price: ₹7,790
Pros: Lag-free, looks good
Cons: Average battery, charging takes a lot of time, average camera, No fingerprint sensor
