RML Agtech launches Variable Rate Technology to map soil quality

Ahmedabad, May 10

RML Agtech, a technology-based farm solutions provider, has launched an indigenous version of Variable Rate Technology (VRT) to enhance soil nutrients.

The application helps farmers decide the quantity of nutrients required. It is also a tool to know how many plants can be used on a piece of land based on soil nutrient value. The technology is popular in developed countries.

In India, RML has customised VRT to local conditions wherein there will be continuous monitoring of crops through satellite imagery for nutrition deficiency or disease and provide real-time inputs to farmers. Thus VRT helps in reducing wastage of expensive inputs and helps in improving quality and quantity of crop yields.
