Addivant, a company specialising in polymer additive technologies, has received an approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Weston 705 liquid antioxidant.
“Extensively researched and supported with comprehensive toxicology testing, Weston 705 antioxidant provides superior safety as well as enhanced polymer performance and higher processing productivity versus conventional solid phosphites,” Addivant said in a statement.
The company added that the product would deliver benefits across the entire value chain — from resin producers and converters to retailers and consumers.
