CavinKare introduces Raaga Professional range in Hyderabad

FMCG group CavinKare today launched Raaga Professional range in Hyderabad and plans to take it pan-India by the end of next year.

The company describes its range as affordable brand that is suitable for Indian conditions.

The professional care products are targeted at salons and are pitted against some of the well known global brands such as L’Oreal and Schwarzkopf.

Ketan Takalkar, General Manager of Retail Salon Products, CavinKare, said, "We are introducing Raga Professional in Hyderabad after we successfully launched and marketed the product range in Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore recently. We expect to go pan-India by next year end reaching more than 50,000 salons."

Part of the Rs 1,100-crore CavinKare, this division is eyeing a bigger pie of the Rs 450 crore hair care market within two years as it spreads its reach. Indian brands have not entered the salon business, he said.

Raaga Professional brand offers hair colouration range made to suit Indian conditions that require just 10 minutes as opposed to about 35 minutes for most other brands. They are also packaged in sachets making it easy to use. This range comes with colour optimiser shampoo with mild surfactants and other conditioning agents that protect colour from fading, he explained.

The brand also launched its latest skin care range including the fairness facial kit, anti ageing facial kit, the gold facial kit and the platinum facial kit created with lemon grass oil, which help in restoration of skin elasticity.
