Marginal rise in Radico Khaitan net

Liquor maker Radico Khaitan Ltd has reported a marginal rise its net profit at Rs 22 crore in the third quarter ended December 31 against Rs 20.3 crore in the same period a year ago. Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs. 453.0 crore, registering a 10.9 per cent rise, as compared with Rs 408.6 crore a year ago.

Lalit Khaitan, CMD, said: “The company received a price hike in Andhra Pradesh and expects a similar hike in some other large liquor consuming States in the coming year. “These price hikes coupled with the companies premiumisation strategy is expected to result in significant profitability enhancement in the coming year.”

The company operates in the mass segment with brands like 8PM Whisky, Magic Moments Gin and Old Admiral rum.
