The Auto Division of the Pune-based RSB Transmissions has bagged the Deming Prize given by the Union of Japanese Scientists & Engineers.
R.K. Behera, Chairman, RSB Group, received the award in Tokyo on November 13.
The Deming Prize is an annual award given to organisations that successfully implement Total Quality Management practices.
The Rs 1,200 crore RSB Group has business ranging from automotive components and systems and construction equipment aggregates. It has 13 manufacturing plants in seven locations in India, and one each in USA, Belgium and Mexico.
