Reliance Infrastructure registered a marginal rise in net profit at ₹431 crore for the quarter ended September 30, against ₹427 crore logged in the same period last year.

Total income was down 15 per cent to ₹4,487 crore (₹5,273 crore). R Infra said the performance was despite a loss of ₹57 crore in the Mumbai Metro operations.

However, the company recovered ₹221 crore as arrears in the Mumbai power distribution and ₹56 crore as cross subsidy charge. Net sales from the power business was ₹3,244 crore (₹3,501 crore). The engineering, procurement and construction segment posted revenues of ₹577 crore.

In its cement business, the company has earned a revenue of ₹31 crore in the quarter. Its roads business logged revenues of ₹146 crore (₹159 crore), which the company said was on account of dilution of stake and restructuring of shareholding in the toll road projects.
