Sagar Cements Ltd has commenced production in the first phase of the new cement plant set up as a joint venture with the Vicat Group of France.
The joint venture, Vicat Sagar Cements Private Ltd, had completed the first phase with 2.75 million tonne capacity and commenced commercial production, the Hyderabad-based company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The plant is located in Chatrasala Village in Gulbarga district of Karnataka.
